10 September 2024 - Volar Air Mobility Holding Company Limited (“Volar”) and Etihad Aviation Training LLC (“EAT”) signed an MoU to propel the adoption of Green Aviation alternatives in the UAE.
EAT is an Abu Dhabi-based Approved Training Organization (ATO) recognized by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). It is a leading institution dedicated to delivering a wide range of aviation training services. With a focus on excellence, EAT offers comprehensive programs for pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and aviation professionals, ensuring the highest standards of training in the industry.
The UAE's commitment to Green Aviation has been emphasized by recent developments, including the DRIFTx Forum 2024, which brought together key players in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and the government's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The significance of the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) lies in its aim to establish a sustainability cluster that will promote research and development of sustainable initiatives. Additionally, the partnership will engage with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Through this collaborative commitment, both parties will work diligently to integrate sustainability into the daily lives of UAE residents.
